Mt. Robert's Tram Trip

Tonight Chris and I hung out with our friends Christine and Todd.
They came over for dinner and a movie, after dinner we all decided to take a scenic drive Downtown in our beastly van.
When we went to drop them off at home Christine
let us borrow a free pass to ride to the top of the Tram.

Chris pointing to the exact spot where we are going up the Mountain.
We were the last ones to go up the Mountain for the evening so we had the Tram all to ourselves!

 Going up!
About 5-6 cruise ships port in Juneau everyday. Downtown Juneau's economy would not be successful without the support of tourists. In fact during the winter downtown is basically shut down.

Chris and I on top of the mountain walking from the tram to the outdoor looking-point.
(I know their blurry, but this tunnel was not ideal for indoor photos.)

Views from the tunnel hallway.

Here you can see Douglas Bridge. (The only way between Douglas Island and our Island, Juneau.)

COOL VIEWS FROM THE TOP OF MOUNT ROBERTS.

Good view of Douglas Island residence.

Took this picture from the outdoor looking-point. The tunnel hallway is that bridge overhead.

 Coming down. . .

A view of up the Channel, Downtown Juneau (bottom foreground), Douglas Island (middle left), Juneau Valley (top right).

Once we reached the bottom we decided to take a stroll around Downtown.

It was pretty much empty. But it was perfect for our lovely walk!
