Fall is for . . .

Fall is for Festivities, Halloween, pumpkins, leaves, hayrides, horses, hot cider, hot cocoa, pies, scarves, gloves, apple picking, sweet treats, games and fun!
This is a picture I took of a tree outside of our apartment! The fall colors are so beautiful!
Today Chris was a darling (like always) and took me out to join in our small town's Halloween/Fall festivities. We decided to take a stroll down the street and found so many wonderful exciting things!

There was a huge carved pumpkin contest with probably 50-60 really cool pumpkins. The prize was a new IPAD 2.
Chris and I went to look at all of them as they lined the street.
These were out favorites.

Chris and I LOVE this movie! This looks amazing!
I think my Mom would like this one. It is so cute and creative!
This is so clever!
This is for my Dad! Haha Apple!
Awesome! Van Gogh!

There were free Hay Rides pulled by huge gorgeous black Clydesdale Horses! I LOVE HORSES!!!!
SO of course Chris and I went on one of the Hay Rides!!!!

I just love these animals! I want to take them home! BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Stunning muscular and perfect creatures!

Yes we did that! And I loved every second of it!!! So fun! I just love these type of things!
These are our little feeties as we were on the hay ride. We hung our feet off the edge!

After our Hay Ride we headed indoors and found a cute Trick or Treat station set up for anyone to help themselves to Hot Cider and homemade goodies!

The treats really were good! All kinds of pumpkin cookies, spice cake donut holes, peanut butter and chocolate squares, and some other yummies!

Hot Cider! MMmmm!

All over this little strip of town they had little "spooky" Halloween set ups!

This is so cute, it must have taken some time!
There were so many cute and creative set ups. It was just so much fun ot walk around with my love in the fresh fall air and feel the Halloween festivities come to life!

Life is GOOD! We are living it!

It is Halloween!

Chris and I both love Halloween!

I love decorating for it, dressing up, candy, pumpkins! Everything about it! So neat!

This is standing on our TV!
I also made these pumpkins! Love them for Halloween and Thanksgiving!
I love these BOO frames, I made these, took forever to cut out the letters!

This is hanging on our door for everyone to see when they come visit us!
This is just some of the decor around our home. I made most of it. I just save old jars and fill them with Halloween things!

These are our cozy Halloween comfies!

Chris and I love traditions so we decided to start "BOOing" People.
This is when you make a treat and leave it on the door step of your neighbors and friends anonymously.
So basically you doorbell ditch them and leave a ghost on their door that says they have been BOOed and it has on it the instructions on how to do it themselves. The idea is to pass treats along anonymously to all of your neighbors and friends. . .

It is called being BOOed!

This is the first year we have done it and I thought the treats I left were so cute I just had to take pictures. I bought the bags and made everything else!

Isn't this stuff just darling for Halloween? I'm into the cute halloween not the scary!

This is the ghost I made and a poem I got online that gives them their instructions to pass along the BOO!
I made peanut butter balls as the treats to put in the little bags.
Everyone asks for this recipe! But I have secret ingredients!
They are so yummy, Chris craves them all the time!

Chris and I invited our friends Quinton and Ariel over to CARVE PUMPKINS with us and watch "I Am Legend". I think that movie is scary and that is about as scary as I can handle!

This is Chris' SCARY pumpkin! It looks awesome! Poor little one is getting eaten!
This is my pumpkin! His pumpkin's girlfriend! Teehee.
Our pumpkins sitting on our porch!

Are you Ready to see our
COSTUMES?!!!!

A few nights later we attended a Costume Halloween Party at our friend's house. . .
Chris and I looked amazing!
Really we went all out!!!!

Holy Cow we look good! Yes I am VERY PROUD of these costumes!

If you couldn't tell we are in authentic Mexican Dancing outfits and painted our faces like Day of The Dead Skeletons. It is a Mexican holiday in which they celebrate the life of their loved ones that have passed on. Skeletons are the main tradition and they are painted very colorfully and usually in bright outfits similar to these!

It took hours to paint our faces.
Actually 2.5 hours for to do my own and 1.5 hours for me to do Chris!

Oh my goodness! He looks SO AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! I LOVE THIS SHOT!

I have no words, I just LOVE it!!!

Chris just looks perfect! He for sure looks like a legitimate Mexican Skeleton Matador!!!!!

I just have to say we would totally win a Costume Contest!
Okay enough obsessing about the costumes!

Oh and we like to take treats to people, these were cookies I made and decorated. We took them to the party and to some of our friends and neighbors.
