Today Chris and I went on a lovely Picnic Date.
We drove to Auke Recreational Picnic area.
It was so beautiful and I took lots of pictures on the coast while Chris flew his helicopter. We both rock hunted and looked at lots of pretty shells. We saw porpoises just 100 feet of the beach. It was a beautiful day!
This is the gorgeous view off the side of the free-way just down the mountain from our home.
Such a green drive to Auke Bay!
The picnic area we chose was absolutely perfect! The trail so neat and Alaskan air is just so fresh!

Chris flying his helicopter (he is just so adorable).
Meanwhile I made us some lunch, simple picnic treats and eats.
Yum.

This was our great view from the picnic pavilion.
I loved just exploring and taking pictures! The coast is full of stunning colors and textures!

I love rock hunting too! I found this great rock shaped like a whale's tail.

My favorite picture!!!! So beautiful!
About 100 feet off shore we saw a pod of porpoises! It was so neat! They were dark black and gray. They were fairly close to shore, so they must have been curious.
Finally we packed up the picnic and headed home. It was getting a bit chilly on the coast.
Once we got home we walked through our Land-lord's garden. It looks so beautiful today!
What a great day!
